The body of F56A1 Control Valve originally designed with BSPP (so named "metric") threads. NPT threads differ from BSP threads in the tooth angle, which is 60 degrees instead of 55, and the edges are more pronounced. Another difference is in the pitch: NPT threads have 11.5 threads per inch while BSP threads have 11 threads per inch. Other words they don't actually fit each other.
